SURFACE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION
Appropriate and good surface preparation significantly increases the top coat life and durability. Efflorescence or mould must be treated before the application of paint. Treat any areas affected by mould, lichens, algae, or moss with bleach. Deploy skilled and experienced individuals for the application of paint. Below are a few general instructions:
New or Bare Surfaces:
New concrete, mortar, or cement render must be allowed to cure for 8-12 weeks depending on concrete thickness and drying conditions. The surface to be painted must be dry, clean, and free from all contamination and efflorescent salts. Remove dirt, grease, and waxy material by rubbing down using suitable abrasive paper. Apply one coat of Pro Plaster Primer and two coats of Pro Wall Skim. A third coat of Pro Wall Skim can be applied for extra smoothness. Allow the surface to dry completely, scuff with suitable abrasive paper, and dust off. For best results, apply one coat of Pro Plaster Primer over Pro Wall Skim before the application of Pro HomeGuard.Previously Painted Sound Surfaces:
Scrape off all loosely adherent and defective paint from the surface with appropriate abrasive paper or a stiff brush and dust off. Spot prime with Pro Plaster Primer and fill surface imperfections with Pro
